Folsom Prisom

Johnny Cash, foi un cantautor estadounidense de gospel, rock and roll, rockabilly e country da cal chegou a facer un subxenero propio. Coñecido pola súa profunda voz, por vestir roupa escura («The Man in Black») e por empezar todos os concertos decindo «ola, son Johnny Cash» («Hello, I'm Johnny Cash»).
Cash sentía unha gran compaixón polos presos, realizando unha serie de concertos en varias cárceles. Resultado destes concertos son dous dos seus álbumes máis importantes, Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison (1968) Johnny Cash at San Quentin (1969).

When I was just a baby
my mama told me. Son,
always be a good boy,

don't ever play with guns.

But I shot a man in Reno
------------------- E
just to watch him die
-----------B7----------------
now every time I hear that whistle

I bet there's rich folks eating
in a fancy dining car
they're probably drinkin' coffee

----E
Well if they'd free me from this prison,
if that railroad train was mine
------------ ---------------------------E7

that's where I want to stay
-----------B7----------------
and I'd let that lonesome whistle
-------------------E
blow my blues away.....
